Bought one three months ago to try out. It has worked “out of the box” with both Shepherd Orchestral and an old RG Hardie chanter at A=466Hz, and is easily the best reed I have found for a vintage J Robertson chanter at A=440Hz.

I got a B flat chanter and some reeds at the same time. Little did I expect what happened when I got home and tried everything out…This combination is by far the best I have ever experienced in my 43 years of ‘piping. Every note was perfectly in tune, and every note had a sound quality that was not just beautiful and engaging but something beyond that, filled with character and warmth, yet powerful and solid (and this was with an easy/medium reed!). My feeling is that in 20 years’ time people are going to be looking for these chanters, and talking about how well the reeds brought out the crafstmanship and knowledge and care that has gone into this. Honestly, it doesn’t get better than this! A combination to be truly excited by.
